Sheeba’s Snow Day
Last week we had a lot of snow….
My dog Sheeba demanded that I put her sweater on so that she could go explore.
She made paths in the snow, a few snow angels, and she checked to make sure her bones were still buried.
But when she was ready to come in she was ready! Let me in now!
For a few minutes Sheeba was very excited and wanted to tell me all about her adventures in the snow….
Two minutes later she was snoring….
Best Friends–Tsunami Tortoise and Hippo
I saw these pictures shortly after the Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2005, and thought it was such a heartwarming story. I recently came across the pictures again and wanted to share them with anyone who may not have seen them originally:
"A baby hippopotamus that survived the tsunami waves on the Kenyan coast has formed a strong bond with a giant male century-old tortoise in an animal facility in the port city of Mombassa."
